Netflix’s ‘The Waterfront’ Sets World Premiere at ATX TV Festival, ‘We Were Liars’ and More Added to Lineup (EXCLUSIVE)ATX TV Festival will feature the world premiere of “The Waterfront,” Variety can exclusively announce. The festival, which takes place in Austin, Texas, from May 29-June 1, will kick off opening day with the Netflix and Universal Television drama from creator Kevin Williamson.

Per the logline, the series is inspired by true events and “follows the Buckley family as they struggle to keep their crumbling fishing empire afloat and their legacy intact.” The drama premieres June 19 on Netflix.
